Practice Experience
Jorge has over twenty-six years of professional experience, he focus his practice on representing and advising global clients on matters throughout Latin American and the Caribbean, involving on Litigation and Arbitration matters, including complex commercial cases, banking litigation, insurance litigation among others. He has been handling litigation matters before Panamanian courts and arbitration panels.

Since January 2016 Jorge is partner of FMM. Through the last five years he has been ranked as first band by Chambers and Partners, as well as, one of the best litigation lawyers in Panama by Dispute Resolution, PLC Cross-Border, The Legal 500, John Pritchard Handbooks and Who’s Who Legal for Latin America.

Jorge’s outstanding performance in negotiation, as well as in conflicting and non-conflicting situations, has granted him with a tangible recognition across the Panamanean forum as a successful and acknowledged lawyer in complex event scenarios.

He also was member of board of directors on several Banks and finances, Local Media Services and was president for 5 years of “La Fundacion Para El Desarrollo De Las Libertades Ciudadanas, Capitulo Panameño De Transparencia Internacional (TI)”

Jorge has been a law professor at several universities in Panama.
